The program unfolded at the welcoming grounds of Camputhaw Elementary School, nestled in Purok 4 of Kamputhaw, Cebu City. It was a day marked by the presence of esteemed guests such as DepEd Caraga Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, alongside selected Schools Division Superintendents. Adding to the roster of educational leaders were Dr. Jumer C. Carlon, OIC-Chief of ESSD, and Dr. Lily Ann S. Go, the dedicated School Principal of Lahug Elementary School, accompanied by select barangay Lahug personnel.
The Feeding Program transcended beyond mere sustenance, offering meals crafted meticulously to align with the Pinggang Pinoy nutritional standards. This initiative filled the stomach and fueled minds, instilling the importance of balanced diets and healthy eating habits among the children.
As the day concluded, the golden partnership between DepEd Caraga, Barangay Lahug, and Lahug Elementary School shone as a beacon of hope, setting a precedent for sustainable social responsibility and community engagement. This Feeding Program is a testament that unity is vital in nurturing the well-being and education of our youth.
