Preparing for the Palarong Pambansa 2024 involves many committed individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes. Their efforts ensure that the athletes have a home away from home. From dawn till dusk, supervisors, committee members, and advance party pour their skills and energy into every detail.
Arriving weeks before the official delegation, the advance party played an important role in setting the groundwork. The advance party recounted the long hours and manual labor involved in preparing the billeting quarters. They had to prepare everything from scratch, often working late into the night. Despite the challenges, seeing the smiles on the athletesโ faces made it all worthwhile.
The transformation of Lahug Elementary School into hospitable billeting quarters involved renovating and upgrading facilities to ensure comfort and convenience and creating a supportive and motivating atmosphere for the athletes.
