Being the Chief Education Supervisor of the Human Resource Development Division in the Department of Education โCaraga Region has honed her to become one of the best leaders where passion, excellence, commitment, and a sense of responsibility are the norms and standards.
She was born on May 17, 1970, in Bayugan City. She graduated from her elementary years at Bayugan Elementary School in 1982 and her Secondary Education at Bayugan National Comprehensive High School in 1986.
Against all odds, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics at Mindanao State University in 1990. She earned her Master of Arts in Education, majoring in Educational Management at Bukidnon State College in 2002, and her Doctor of Education at Caraga State University in 2007.
As an offspring of a pure-blooded Mandaya mother, the bravery and the strength to find her way to success led her to excel in all the ladders of her endeavors.
Dr. Dalin exuded perseverance and hard work as she scaled the ranks from a dedicated Teacher I, to Master Teacher I and II, to Principal, to Supervisor, and finally to a committed Chief Education Supervisor. The demands of her position tested her self-competence. But she gained meaningful experiences and innovative ideas from her seminars, pieces of training, and other engagements that contributed much to where she is today.
But her leadership is not confined to the Department of Education because she extended her influence to the Rotary Club of Downtown Butuan as its current president, where she advances the cause of economically challenged learners, mothers, and families by initiating livelihood projects for them, reaching out to those who are in dire need, and leading them to the different programs to achieve triumphant transformation and the betterment of service.
With her love for humanity and country, she desired to serve the nation as Chief Petty Officer of the Philippine Navy Reserve Command.
Dr. Dalin not only upholds the integrity and honor of her office but is an inculcator of values and positive traits in her home. As a loving wife of a successful retired seafarer and active navy reservist, Joel Dalin Sr., she took pride in taking good care of the family. As a mother of three kids (Joelle Faith, John Roy, and Joel Jr.), Dalin raised them to become achievers in different fields of expertise (sports, academia, and information technology). She is strict when it comes to the education of her children. She firmly believes that relationships with the family, the people around them, and God should be the topmost priority.
Reflecting on this year's Women's Month celebration, she envisioned all women giving their best shot for every dream they would pursue, persevering, and believing in themselves. For Dalin, women must not fear the challenges in life but bravely embrace them and take courage from the words of God in Jeremiah 29:11, โFor I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, โplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.โ
As a trailblazer, Dr. Dalin is a definition of an empowered woman whose many facets are commendable and worthy of emulation.
