Our team of five utterly diverse strangers from different ranks and positions stood at the crossroads of an arduous task that extended beyond the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Our task was no small feat - equipped with cameras to capture visual memories and cellphones to record poignant accounts, we embarked on an endeavor to encapsulate not merely the outward spectacle of the Palaro but the intricate human stories we wanted to etch on the pages of our newsletter, CARAGOLD. From the first light of dawn to the fading twilight, our days were consumed by the relentless pursuit of documenting every triumph, every heartache, and every inspirational journey. Yet, the nights brought forth the magic of the fortune cookie's wisdom. As the city's buzz faded into the quiet of the evening, we huddled together, channeling the energy of the day into crafting narratives that would soon inspire and uplift our readers awaiting from the south.
