𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

The three-day conference, scheduled from April 21 to 23, aims to finalize coordination across eight critical areas, focusing on governance, leadership, overall coordination, sports competition and technical management, facilities, infrastructure, venue operations, finance, budget, resource management, safety, security, traffic, and emergency response, accommodation, food, water, transportation, environmental sustainability and sanitation, media and public engagement.

The meeting was convoked by Palarong Pambansa Secretary General and DepEd Undersecretary for Operations and Governance Malcolm S. Garma, bringing together DepEd Regional Directors, Regional Sports Officers, Tournament Directors, and key officials from the Department of Education, as well as the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur, led by Governor Santiago B. Cane Jr., Chair of the Palarong Pambansa 2026 Executive Committee.

DepEd Caraga Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, CESO III, also participated in the discussions and ensured that all delegates were provided with safe and comfortable accommodation.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

Day 1 focused on operational readiness and coordination. Dr. Marivic Tolitol, Chair of the Palarong Pambansa Secretariat, presented the overall program flow and schedule of activities, outlining key timelines leading to the opening ceremonies. Health protocols were discussed by Dr. Miguel Angelo Mantaring, Director IV of the Bureau of Learner Support Services, to ensure the safety and well-being of all delegates, as the Agusan del Sur provincial government committed to provide necessary medical assistance for athletes.

𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

Logistical arrangements were tackled through the presentation of Dr. Jumer Carlon, Caraga’s Regional Sports Coordinator, who reported on the arrivals and departures of delegates as well as the status of billeting quarters.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲

Child protection mechanisms were also highlighted, with Giro Almendralejo presenting the establishment and operations of child protection help desks throughout the duration of the games.

𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

Provincial Engineer Linda M. Buquir provided updates on the readiness of playing venues, emphasizing compliance with standards required for national competition.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲

During the interactive question and answer session, Usec. Garma engaged participants in clarifying operational concerns and aligning expectations. The discussion led to key agreements that will guide the final phase of preparations.

𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁

The Final Technical Conference serves as a critical platform to ensure that all systems, personnel, and facilities are in place for the successful staging of Palarong Pambansa 2026, reinforcing Agusan del Sur’s commitment to delivering a well-coordinated and athlete-centered national sporting event.
