The superintendent's visit included stops at Butuan City Comprehensive High School, Tungao National High School, Tungao Elementary School, Dankias Elementary School, Danapa Elementary School, Amparo Central Elementary School, and Amparo National High School.
Brigada Eskwela, the Department of Education's annual school maintenance program, brings together teachers, parents, students, community members, and stakeholders to prepare schools for the upcoming academic year. Superintendent Albis emphasized the importance of collaboration and bayanihan spirit in ensuring safe and conducive learning environments.
โWe are not just cleaning classrooms or fixing chairs โ we are nurturing hope and readiness for learning,โ Albis said during her visit. โThe spirit of unity shown here today reflects our shared dedication to quality education.โ
Teachers and school heads warmly welcomed SDS Albis, who expressed appreciation for their hard work and dedication. She also encouraged stronger community engagement and reaffirmed the division's full support to all schools in their Brigada Eskwela activities.
Local barangay officials, parents, and volunteers joined in the efforts, underscoring the communal aspect of the event. Various maintenance works were observed during the visits, including classroom repainting, minor repairs, and grounds clean-up.
The visits served not only as an inspection but as a morale boost for participating schools. Superintendent Albisโs presence reinforced the value of collective action and underscored DepEdโs commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education.
As Brigada Eskwela continues throughout the city, the message of unity and cooperation remains at the heart of every effort โ a vision clearly embodied by the leadership of Dr. Minerva T. Albis.
