The activity aimed to improve safety protocols and emergency preparedness in government offices, enhancing their readiness to respond effectively during a seismic event. Employees followed essential procedures: ringing the alarm bell, executing the โDuck, Cover, and Holdโ technique, orderly evacuation, and assembly point protocols, all designed to minimize risk and ensure safety during an earthquake.
Beldad emphasized the importance of preparedness during the drill, highlighting commitment to safety and security in the working area. This drill is part of ongoing efforts to cultivate a culture of readiness and resilience within DepEd Caraga and the nearby communities.
The successful drill demonstrated DepEd Caragaโs dedication to upholding safety standards and promoting disaster resilience among its employees. The exercise concluded with a post-drill assessment to identify areas for improvement for succeeding preparedness initiatives.
