This orientation is part of the Regional Capacity Building of Core and Division Trainers on the ARAL Program, which runs from August 26 to 28, 2025.
The sessions aimed at enhancing teacher-tutorsโ competencies in developing varied classroom assessments to identify learnersโ specific learning gaps, and in designing corresponding, need-based remediation materials and activities. These efforts are crucial to ensuring that interventions are tailored to meet the unique needs of every learner.
A total of 60 school heads, with five representatives from each of the 12 Schools Division Offices, participated in the training. They are tasked to implement the ARAL Program in their respective schools across the region.
The orientation focus on the following key areas:
o Status of literacy in the country
o Roles and responsibilities of ARAL-Reading Program implementers
o Implementing guidelines of the ARAL Reading Program
o Walk-through of the Teaching Guide and Learnerโs Workbook
This initiative underscores DepEd Caragaโs commitment to improving literacy and learning outcomes through targeted and inclusive capacity-building efforts.
