The delegation was headed by Maria Ines C. Asuncion, CESO III, together with the Schools Division Superintendents, Chiefs of Functional Divisions, Regional Sports Officers, Division Sports Officers, members of the Technical Working Group (TWG), athletes, and coaches.
During his homily, Fr. Dennis Badic emphasized that becoming a true champion in sports is anchored on discipline, perseverance, humility, and faith in God. He reminded the delegation that success is not measured solely by victories in competitions, but also by oneโs character and ability to remain humble at all times. He further highlighted that defeat should not be regarded as failure, but rather as a valuable training ground toward growth, resilience, and future success.
The Holy Mass also served as a moment of reflection and inspiration for the delegation, strengthening camaraderie and reinforcing the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and excellence as they prepare for the national competition.
The opening Holy Mass marked a meaningful and inspiring start for the CARAGA delegationโs journey in the 2026 Palarong Pambansa 2026. Guided by faith, strengthened by unity, and driven by discipline, the delegation remains committed to embodying excellence, humility, and true sportsmanship in every competition. As they carry the pride of the CARAGA Region, the delegation continues to aspire not only for victory, but also for personal growth and honorable representation throughout the national games.
