Anchored on the theme, “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the activity highlighted the vital role of women as stewards of nature and catalysts of community development.

In her Statement of Purpose, Adrilene Mae J. Castanos, PhD, Project Development Officer IV, underscored the importance of moving beyond symbolic planting activities. She highlighted that tree growing is a long-term commitment, stressing that nurturing planted trees until maturity is essential in ensuring environmental impact and sustainability. She called on stakeholders to take active roles not only in planting but also in protecting and maintaining the trees for future generations.

An orientation on proper tree growing and clean-up procedures was conducted by the CENRO Tubay focal person, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge for effective implementation. This was followed by the actual clean-up and tree growing activities, where participants actively engaged in environmental restoration efforts.

The event concluded with a strong sense of purpose and renewed commitment among participants, reinforcing that environmental protection is a shared responsibility—one that thrives through sustained action, unity, and leadership inspired by empowered women.
