The meeting, held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., included key discussions on prohibited political activities and election violations presented by Atty. Ronald Lara, Legal Officer of DepEd Agusan del Norte. He emphasized the importance of upholding electoral integrity among Election Task Force personnel, drawing from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) issuances and relevant court cases. Lara also highlighted the legal framework that guides the conduct of election officers.

Following Lara’s presentation, Jezmarie R. Macuno of the Public Affairs Unit discussed the real-time monitoring systems and hotline reporting protocols designed to facilitate immediate reporting and response to election-related incidents. Macuno also detailed the procedures for incident report submissions, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the election period.

Updates from various Schools Division Offices Election Task Force were also shared, showcasing their preparations and best practices in their involvement in the election process.

These reports underscored the collaborative efforts of education stakeholders in safeguarding the integrity of the electoral exercise.

The activity was conducted under the direction of Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, CESO IV, through the Legal Unit Head Atty. Jose B. Guibone and Regional Election Task Force Focal Person Atty. Jessa Mangadlao-Miolata. The meeting was moderated by Maria Paulita Lomonsod of the Regional Legal Unit.
