The school visitation covered Magallanes National High School, Buenavista SPED Elementary School, Butuan Central Elementary School, and Agusan National High School, where the Education Support Services Division (ESSD) spearheaded the visit through the Learner Rights and Protection Office (LRPO). The activity was led by Regional Learner Rights and Protection Focal Person Giro Paolo Misael V. Almendralejo under the supervision of ESSD Chief Edmund D. Mendoza.
The successful conduct of the visitation was made possible through the collaboration of the Schools Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) of the Schools Division Offices of Agusan del Norte and Butuan City, headed by SGOD Chiefs Rexanne Bolotaolo and Luisito G. Pero, as well as school heads, teachers, and school personnel. Their coordinated efforts ensured the smooth implementation of the activity while minimizing disruptions to classroom instruction.
โAanhin ang ating improvement sa curriculum if hindi safe ang ating mga bata. That's why we should strengthen the safety of our learners, and our efforts in the curriculum will bear fruit,โ said Usec. Mendoza, who conveyed the message of Secretary Sonny Angara. The message reaffirmed that curriculum reforms can achieve meaningful outcomes only when learners are protected and provided with safe, nurturing school environments.
The school safety inspection reflects DepEd Caraga's unwavering commitment to strengthening learner protection and ensuring full implementation of policies that safeguard the welfare of every learner. Through sustained collaboration among the Central Office, Regional Office, Schools Division Offices, and school communities, the Department continues to foster learning environments where every learner can grow, thrive, and reach their fullest potential.
