As key strategies to strengthen the competencies of technical-vocational educators, the TM Level I Training and Competency Assessorsโ Accreditation are designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to deliver competency-based training (CBT) aligned with industry standards and responsive to 21st-century demands. This initiative underscores DepEdโs commitment to providing learners with practical, industry-relevant skills that prepare them for higher education, entrepreneurship, or immediate employment.
During the Caraga leg of the activity held at Silver Hall, RNEAP on September 19, 2025, Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion delivered an inspiring message to all participants. She emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships, particularly with TESDA, to ensure that learners obtain industry-recognized certifications.
โI am deeply grateful to all our partners, especially TESDA, for their unwavering support in our initiatives. Through this collaboration, we aim to complement TESDAโs assessment centers by preparing all system requirements, equipment, and human resources needed for the smooth conduct of assessments. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that 100% of our Grade 12 learners are assessed and certified before they leave the Department of Education. This is an investment not only in our learners but also in the future of our communities and the entire Caraga Region,โ RD Asuncion said.
RD Asuncion also highlighted the importance of self-empowerment among teachers, saying, โI am happy to see you here because your presence alone shows your willingness to be capacitated as trainers and assessors. Promotion and growth begin with self-help. If you capacitate yourselves, then good things will follow. Together, let us target 100% certified learners and build a stronger Caraga.โ
The training reaffirms DepEdโs mission to equip educators with 21st-century skills and ensure that learners acquire competencies relevant to industry and community development.
