The initiative was facilitated by the DepEd Caraga Regional Office, through its Education Support Services Division (ESSD), as part of its continuing efforts to ensure the welfare and preparedness of student-athletes representing the region. This partnership underscores the value of sustained collaboration between government institutions and partner agencies in advancing holistic youth development.
A total of 900 hygiene kits were turned over for distribution to athletes and members of the Caraga delegation.
The partnership was spearheaded by the ESSD team led by Edmund D. Mendoza, Chief of ESSD, together with Adrilene Mae J. Castanos, PDO IV; Jairha Anne T. Sususco, TA I; and Dr. Jumer Carlon, Regional Sports Officer, whose coordinated efforts helped secure the support from the Land Bank of the Philippines.
The formal turnover ceremony was graced and personally facilitated by Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, who expressed her appreciation to Land Bank for its continued commitment to supporting education and youth-centered initiatives. She emphasized that the donation reflects the shared responsibility of ensuring the health, readiness, and overall welfare of the regionโs athletes.
Representing the Land Bank of the Philippines during the turnover were the following officials and representatives:

Their presence underscored the institutionโs strong commitment to community partnership, public service, and youth empowerment.
As preparations for the 2026 Palarong Pambansa continue, the Region expresses its gratitude to its partners for their unwavering support. Initiatives such as this highlight the importance of collaboration not only in strengthening athletic performance but also in ensuring the health, dignity, and morale of every Caraga athlete.
