This initiative aims to prevent bullying and promote kindness, empathy, and safety among students, while reinforcing the importance of learner welfare and children's rights.
The caravan kicked off at CJRAIS, with SSLG Division President Angel Solana and BKD Federation President Heart Princess Suacillo hosting the opening program. The event was graced by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Love Sudario, CJRAIS School Head Liz Chin Bendanillo, and Regional LRP Officers Adrilene Mae Castaรฑos (PDO IV) and Shiela Abenido (TA II), along with representatives from CSWD, PopCom, PNP-WCPD, and DOT Caraga, with the local media partners providing coverage.
Key partners delivered informative and advocacy-aligned talks to Grade 9 and 11 learners, empowering them with knowledge to make safe and informed choices. The topics included Responsible Adolescence and Reproductive Health (ARH), Anti-Trafficking in Persons, Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), and Mindfulness.
The second leg of the activity, held at Soriano Elementary School, was a highly engaging experience for Grades 4 to 6 pupils. They actively participated in interactive sessions on Bullying Prevention, Child Rights, and Safe vs. Unsafe Touch, facilitated by Division LRP Focal Person Mitch Malazarte (PDO I) and supported by the host school teachers.
This multi-stakeholder initiative underscored the collective responsibility of building safe and inclusive learning environments. By working together, schools and communities can foster a culture where every learner feels protected, respected, and empowered. The positive impact of this initiative on the community is evident in the increased awareness and proactive measures taken to prevent bullying.
