As part of the pilot testing, the LCC Secretariat made a courtesy visit to DepEd Caraga Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion. The purpose of this visit was to present the studyโs objectives, scope, and methodology, and to discuss potential collaboration for the successful rollout of the research tool.
Mandated under RA 7165 as amended by RA 10122, the LCC is leading a monumental three-year nationwide research to assess and strengthen community-based literacy programs. The pilot in Butuan City is a crucial part of this effort, validating the research tools for use across various LGUs, and ensuring that the findings will lead to sustained literacy improvement on a national scale.
