De Asis explained that the GBF STEM Collab is growing and trusted community for STEM educators for empowering teachers with innovative strategies. She described the system as a dynamic platform for educators to enhance their knowledge and skills through learning sessions, peer-to-peer engagement, and expert-led workshops. Among its offerings are specialized services in math remediation, math investigation and modeling, and creating scientific research plans.
The initiative also equips educators with teaching strategies that unify concepts and big ideas in science, fostering a holistic approach to STEM education.
Launched in 2022, the GBF STEM Collab aims to address the emerging trends and pedagogies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.
Since its inception, the program has garnered participation from over 67,000 STEM educators nationwide, with a notable 2,500 educators in Caraga already joining the community. De Asis expressed optimism about growing the network further to benefit more educators and learners in the region.
"Through this collaborative platform, we envision empowering Caraga educators to deliver more impactful STEM learning experiences, enabling students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world," De Asis remarked.
The GBF STEM Collab reflects the foundation's commitment to uplifting the quality of education by providing teachers with tools and strategies to stay ahead of emerging trends, ultimately fostering a brighter future for STEM education in the Philippines.
