The three-day orientation gathered Alternative Learning System (ALS) implementers to strengthen their capacity to deliver quality financial education and support the effective implementation of the FELPโFinancial Education Course in pilot divisions.
The activity aimed to deepen participantsโ understanding of the FELPโFinancial Education Course, including its objectives, core financial literacy pillars, implementation guidelines, and alignment with the ALS curriculum. It also provided participants with standardized learning resources, session guides, and contextualized strategies to enhance the delivery of financial education sessions.
In addition, the orientation enhanced teachersโ competencies in facilitating, demonstrating, monitoring, and reporting the implementation of the program. Participants also developed implementation and cascading plans to ensure the effective rollout and sustainability of financial literacy initiatives among ALS learners.
The activity forms part of DepEdโs efforts to equip learners with essential life skills, including responsible financial decision-making, budgeting, saving, and financial wellness. Through strengthened teacher capacity and strategic program implementation, DepEd Caraga continues to support the development of financially literate and empowered lifelong learners.
