The activity was carried out in coordination with the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS), led by Architect III Edison P. Daigdigan and Acting Sports Development Officer IV Rill L. Lagulao, as well as officials from the DepEd Caraga Regional Office.
Among the inspected sports venues were areas designated for volleyball, 3x3 basketball, rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, and swimming, among others. According to PGAS, the ongoing construction of these playing venues is on track and is expected to be completed by March 2026, well ahead of major scheduled sporting events.
The team also visited designated billeting quarters, including Agusan del Sur National Science High School, Agusan del Sur National High School, and San Francisco Pilot Central Elementary School with SPED Learning Center, ensuring their readiness to accommodate student-athletes and delegation members.
This joint inspection underscores the commitment of DepEd Caraga and PGAS to deliver safe, organized, and athlete-friendly facilities in support of the Departmentโs thrust for quality sports development.
