Held at Southville Hotel and Convention Center in Villa Kananga, Butuan City, the event involved 112 participants, including Research Coordinators, Researchers, SGOD and CID Chiefs, Schools Division Superintendents, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, selected Principals and School Heads, and members of the Regional Research Committee (RRC).
The event assessed the projectโs Return on Investment (ROI) and fostered a positive research culture across Caragaโs educational sectors. DepEd Caraga hopes to inspire ongoing innovation and dedication among researchers whose documented work is essential to advancing education in the region.
The highlight of the event was the awarding of the top research initiatives:
First Place: Optimizing the Efficiency of ICT-CSS Grade 12 Learners in Interpreting BIOS Error Beep Codes with ABBEG (Arduino-based BIOS Beep Error Generator) by Jordan D. Buhion from Surigao del Norte.
Second Place: Development of Compendium on Contextualized Story Word Problem in Mathematics by Rex C. Apillanes, Ana Rubi L. Sereno, and Ellen Joy L. Palangan from Bislig City.
Third Place (Tie): Abstract (CRA) Process: A Strategy in Teaching Mathematics Among Grade 7 Learners of BNCHS by Lani V. Casis from Bayugan City and Enhancing Data Analysis Skills using Digital Seminar-Based Instruction (DSBI) by Xe Mc Kevin B. Espaรฑa from Butuan City.
A panel of distinguished judges, including Dr. Elmer Augustus Conde from the Regional Human Resource Development Division (HRDD), Dr. Alejandro P. Macadatar, Chief of the Field Technical Assistance Division (FTAD), and Dr. Violeta C. Nunez, Chief of the Policy, Planning, and Research Division (PPRD), evaluated the presentations. The judges praised each entry for its high quality and innovative approach.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Violeta C. Nunez highlighted the importance of research in educational development and encouraged all participants to continue exploring and addressing real-world challenges. โThis event is more than just a celebration of research success; it is a testament to our commitment to fostering a culture of research in Caraga,โ Nunez stated.
The Researchers Notebook 2024 once again showcases the dedication and talent of Caraga researchers. With the continued support of Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, CESO IV, these research initiatives drive positive change and meaningful educational advancements across the region.
