Among the esteemed partners and stakeholders who attended the meeting were Agusan del Norte Governor Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba, Congressman Dale B. Corvera, and host mayors Roscoe Plaza (Nasipit), Ramon M. Calo (Carmen), represented by Vice Mayor Jovitte Calo, and Joselito T. Roble (Buenavista), representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative (ANECO), Butuan City Water District (BCWD), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (MDRRM), local government units (LGUs), barangay officials, Schools Division Superintendents, and officials from DepEd Agusan del Norte Division and the Regional Office.
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
The discussions centered on fostering collaboration among LGUs, stakeholders, and organizing bodies to address critical aspects of the games, including logistics, event scheduling, playing venues, medical facilities, security, transportation, accommodations, and budgetary requirements.
Regional Director Asuncion led the discussion, ensuring every sector contributed to the detailed planning and coordination. Agusan del Norte Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Jeanie L. Mativo and Regional Sports Coordinator Dr. Jumer Carlon provided technical assistance.
Nasipit will host the games, including the opening parade and closing ceremonies. The mayors will collaborate to upgrade sports facilities in their respective areas, detailing their plans to include transportation, waste segregation, food safety, sanitary measures, and other matters to ensure convenience and well-being.
𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
Officials from the Philippine National Police presented the comprehensive safety protocols, heightened patrols, emergency response drills, and close coordination with DepEd officials to safeguard participants throughout the event.
Regional Director Asuncion underscored the importance of sustainability and eco-friendly practices. She called on barangay captains and utility agencies to ensure uninterrupted services during the games. She also emphasized responsible waste management and monitoring potential fare increases for public transportation.
