The four-day workshop gathers education leaders and implementers from the Regional Office and all 12 Schools Division Offices (SDOs) in Caraga to review program performance, share best practices, and co-design data-driven strategies to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes, particularly for learners who need them most.
โThis workshop allows us to turn evidence into action and collaboration into real learning gains,โ said Assistant Regional Director Dr. Pedro Tenebro Escobarte Jr. โBy co-designing solutions, we ensure our interventions are practical, inclusive, and truly responsive to our learnersโ needs.โ
Grounded on validated End-of-School-Year (EoSY) results from the implementation of the Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (ELLN) and Academic Remedial and Accelerated Learning (ARAL) programs in School Year 2025โ2026, the activity aims to strengthen remediation approaches and guide planning for SY 2026โ2027.
The activity focuses on program reviews, collaborative co-design sessions, and action planning aimed at strengthening ARAL remediation models, harmonizing regional and division-level practices, enhancing the management of external tutors, and exploring innovative approaches such as the Floating School model to better serve learners in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
It also underscores the sustained partnership between DepEd and UNICEF in advancing learning recovery across Mindanao. UNICEF Philippines is providing support for the venue, accommodation, and meals, while DepEd reinforces implementation and accountability through clearly defined outputs and post-activity reporting mechanisms.
Through collaboration, innovation, and shared accountability, The Learning Bridge continues to serve as a vital platform for building stronger, more responsive learning systemsโensuring that no learner is left behind.
