𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿, 𝗠𝗦𝗪, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱, 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘇.

The meeting focused on integrating the Child Protection Committee (CPC) into the Incident Management Team (IMT) for the 2026 Palarong Pambansa. The IMT serves as the central coordinating body for safety, protection, and welfare mechanisms for all participants and stakeholders during the national sporting event. This integration aims to strengthen coordination and ensure a more efficient reporting and response system for child protection concerns.

On May 8, 2026, Regional Learner Rights and Protection (LRP) Officers and Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWD) Officers met with the Bayugan City Child Protection Committee to discuss the implementation of child protection policies under DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012. The discussion emphasized incident reporting procedures and the roles of Child Protection Officers during the 2026 Palarong Pambansa.

The Regional LRP Focal Person addressed concerns and provided clarifications raised by stakeholders to ensure alignment and a shared understanding of child protection protocols among all parties involved.

To strengthen reporting systems, the DepEd Central Office–Learner Rights and Protection Division (CO-LRPD) has provided a standardized intake sheet template to ensure uniform documentation across DepEd offices. Partner agencies are encouraged to adopt the same format to promote consistency in reporting.

In addition, the DepEd Caraga Regional Office–Learner Rights and Protection Office (RO-LRPO) will produce QR code-enabled informational materials to provide accessible reporting channels, especially for learner-athletes. All reporting systems will be managed with strict confidentiality and proper coordination with authorized offices and partner agencies.

Overall, the coordination meetings and collaborative efforts among DepEd Caraga, partner agencies, and stakeholders have strengthened child protection mechanisms in preparation for the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, ensuring clearer reporting systems, defined roles, and more accessible safeguarding measures for all participants.
