The meeting underscored the urgent need for the timely submission of Budget Utilization Reports, stronger coordination between program owners and superintendents, and the immediate resolution of procurement challenges. These challenges have been affecting the timely delivery of learning resources and essential materials. To strengthen monitoring and support, RD Asuncion designated each functional division to visit their assigned SDOs.
Program updates included the Garden-to-Table Program, led by the Education Support Services Division (ESSD), which will visit Maglambing Elementary School in September 2025 to boost school-based gardening and nutrition initiatives. Discussions also covered the delivery of tablets for learners, with RD Asuncion stressing that โno child should be left behindโ and the need for contingency measures to prevent delays.
Status reviews of Indigenous Peoples Education, Flexible Learning Options, and the School-Based Feeding Program emphasized meeting obligation targets by October 30, 2025. The committee also agreed to expedite pending textbook deliveries, address low utilization in specific programs, and importantly, recognize divisions that have achieved 100% obligation rates, thereby motivating others to strive for excellence.
RD Asuncion announced that the next Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting will be held on August 14, 2025, to discuss further operational updates and strategic directions. These coordinated actions reaffirm DepEd Caragaโs commitment to providing quality, accessible, and responsive education services across the region.
