BUTUAN CITY, January 27, 2025 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗗) 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 (𝗢𝗞𝗗) 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.
The monitoring activity took place from January 21 to 24, 2025, covering nine schools in Butuan City Division: Bading Elementary School, Mahayahay Elementary School, Anticala Elementary School, Taguibo Elementary School, Cabcabon Elementary School, Sta. Cruz Elementary School, Lemon Elementary School, Taligaman Central Elementary School, and Antongalon Elementary School.
The initiative aims to ensure the effectiveness of school-based health programs and promote the well-being of students and educators. OKD Regional officials, composed of Rena Gascon Tul-id, Leah Ellen Victorio Yaoyao, Charlestone Otaza, Lee Anne Mae Alicaya, and ESSD Chief Dr. Edmund D. Mendoza, evaluated existing health programs and provided actionable recommendations for improvement.
School administrators and Division Health coordinators expressed their commitment to strengthening school-based health initiatives in their respective schools, acknowledging the significance of these efforts in supporting both the physical and mental well-being of the school community.
Through sustained collaboration and dedication, DepEd Caraga continues to advance health-focused initiatives that foster a safe, nurturing, and conducive environment for learning and teaching.
