Spearheaded by the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD), led by Chief Bernabe L. Linog, in coordination with Mr. Kevin Hope Z. Salvaña, Regional Science Coordinator, the training gathers student-winners of the 2025 Regional Science and Technology Fair (RSTF) and their coaches from various Schools Division Offices (SDOs) across Caraga. The initiative aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in intellectual property protection, patent application processes, and scientific research writing, which are key competencies for succeeding in the NSTF and fostering innovation in STEM education.

The event features expert resource speakers from Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) and Caraga State University (CSU), including Dr. Arnie C. Alguno, Dr. Marco Laurence M. Budlayan, Mr. Kenneth L. Ciudad, Engr. Lord Boy C. Silong, Engr. Juven G. Luzorata, and Engr. James Audrey Gulan G. Rulona. Topics covered include the IP system, industrial property, patent search relevance, plagiarism and copyrights, and crafting compelling scientific research and presentations.

This training underscores DepEd Caraga’s commitment to nurturing scientific excellence and innovation among young learners in the region.
