Under the directive of Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, CESO IV, and through the efforts of the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD), spearheaded by Chief Dr. Flordelisa R. Dalin, with Tiche Lynn G. Caparoso as the focal person, the seminar aimed at fostering a harmonious workplace environment enriched with spiritual growth and moral fortitude.
"There is no use running when we do not know where we are going," said Director Asuncion in her opening message. "As we feed our organization, let us feed ourselves with spirituality . . . It is God who is calling us to be here," she added. The event underscored the importance of establishing a healthy relationship with God as the ultimate goal of life, even as it advocated for a workspace where empathy, understanding, and cooperation flourish.
The resource speaker, Fr. Nelbert Grana, a formator at St. Peter's College Seminary, Butuan City, delved into the connection between personal development and spirituality. Through his guidance, the attendees explored the dynamics of cultivating proactive responses to various situations, adeptly managing changes, and embarking on self-discovery and situational enlightenment.
Fr. Grana emphasized the significance of introspection and the continuous effort to align one's actions with ethical and moral standards. The seminar featured writeshops that allowed participants to reflect deeply and share their experiences and aspirations. These sessions provided a platform for employees to articulate their thoughts and emotions, fostering a culture of openness and mutual respect. He also allowed the participants to seek spiritual cleansing and renewal amidst the burdens of personal sins through the sacrament of confession, followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass.
The Holy Mass marked a solemn conclusion to a day filled with reflection, learning, and spiritual rejuvenation. This closing event symbolized the collective aspiration of DepEd Caraga employees to lead lives marked by integrity, resilience, and deepened faith.
The moral empowerment program demonstrated DepEd Caraga's dedication to holistic growth by highlighting the workers' ethical, intellectual, professional, and spiritual well-being. Through initiatives like these, DepEd Caraga aims to build a more compassionate, humane, and effective workforce capable of navigating the complexities of the education sector with moral and spiritual vigor.
