The training aimed to equip ALS teachers with comprehensive knowledge and skills on the Revised K to 10 Curriculum, enabling them to effectively implement differentiated learning, assessment, and action planning to improve learner outcomes, particularly for out-of-school youth and adult learners.
The activity was conducted in two batches. Batch 1 included the pre-work conference on April 23, 2026, followed by the training proper from April 24–26, 2026. Meanwhile, Batch 2 held its pre-work conference on April 27, 2026, with the training proper conducted from April 28–30, 2026.
Anchored on the Department of Education's thrust toward equitable and future-ready education, the training served as a regional cascade of the National Training of Trainers (NTOT) on the Revised ALS K to 10 Curriculum. The initiative sought to strengthen ALS teachers' capacity in curriculum implementation, learner assessment, contextualization, facilitation, and mentoring.
The training also highlighted the importance of localized adaptation of learning delivery while maintaining consistency and quality in implementing the revised curriculum across divisions.
Through the activity, ALS teachers deepened their understanding of the updated learning strands, competency framework, differentiated instruction, and the ALS Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Assessment System.
Moreover, the activity reinforced DepEd's commitment to providing continuous professional development opportunities for ALS implementers and ensuring that marginalized learners receive accessible, responsive, and inclusive education.
Through initiatives such as this, DepEd Caraga continues to strengthen ALS implementation in the region and uphold its mission of delivering quality education that responds to the diverse needs of Filipino learners.
