The PIP aimed to equip newly hired personnel with essential knowledge regarding government policies, public service values, and Key Results Areas (KRAs). Additionally, the program provided insights into administrative operations, helping new employees navigate their roles effectively within the educational system. By fostering a deeper understanding of their responsibilities, the induction program seeks to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Department of Education's support staff in Butuan City.
34 newly hired non-teaching personnel actively participated in the Personnel Induction Program, gaining valuable insights into their essential roles in supporting the division's operations. The program was highlighted by the presence of Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Minerva T. Albis, who delivered an inspiring message that underscored the critical contributions of non-teaching staff to the division's effectiveness.
Dr. Albis emphasized, "You are the backbone that keeps every process running seamlessly," reinforcing the indispensable role each staff member plays in ensuring smooth and efficient functioning within the department. Her remarks motivated the new personnel, instilling a sense of purpose and importance in their work as they embark on their careers in education support.
The PIP featured a distinguished lineup of resource speakers, each contributing their expertise to provide valuable insights for the newly hired non-teaching personnel.
Yolly Agustin Apilada, Administrative Officer V, shared essential administrative guidelines, including the Omnibus Rules on Leave and Key Results Areas (KRAs) relevant to various positions.
Ryan Joker V. Babael, Accountant III, discussed financial management and accountability, equipping participants with crucial skills for responsible financial practices.
Mayalene S. De la Rita, Records Officer, highlighted the significance of proper documentation and records management, emphasizing best practices for maintaining accurate records.
Additionally, Atty. Marjorie Leigh M. Llano, Legal Officer III, provided insights on the accountability of public officials, ensuring participants gained clarity on relevant policies and compliance requirements. Together, these sessions enriched the participants' knowledge and prepared them to fulfill their roles effectively within the organization.
From the Human Resource Development (HRD), Ms. Janice V. Berte, Senior Education Program Specialist (SEPS), and Mr. David A. Carmelo, Senior Education Program Supervisor, emphasized the importance of capacity-building initiatives and professional growth for the newly hired personnel.
Mr. Hart R. Garcia, Supply Officer, addressed key aspects of property management, while Ms. Victoria Mecla, Cashier II, elaborated on effective cash management practices. Additionally, Maridel L. Ceniza, Administrative Officer II and payroll in-charge, provided critical insights into payroll processes and employee benefits, ensuring participants gained a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
A special session on financial literacy was conducted by Ms. Marecres Empuesto Monteclaro, a guest speaker from the private sector, who shared valuable strategies for managing personal and professional finances.
The event's success was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Program Management Team, led by Yolanda A. Apilada and David A. Carmelo. The Secretariat, under the leadership of Angela A. Santiago, played a crucial role in organizing the program, while Ms. Divine Faith R. Aquino expertly hosted the event.
