A total of 682 examinees enrolled in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) under the Learner Information System (LIS) for the school year 2024-2025 participated in the assessment.
For ALS students, the A&E Test provides a crucial opportunity to achieve obtain certification of completion at various Basic Education exit points. This certification provides a gateway to employment, job training, promotions, and further education.
To ensure a smooth and well-organized process, an orientation was conducted by Division Training Coordinator Dr. Carlos Catalan, in collaboration with Division ALS Coordinator Mrs. Anna Marie Ceniza. Their guidance helped prepare both examinees and staff for the efficient administration of the test. Additionally, the Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), BJMP, Barangay Officials and the Philippine National Police (PNP) played key roles in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the test.
The entire examination process was meticulously supervised by the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Minerva T. Albis, who ensured the integrity of the assessment from the registration process to the management of testing rooms. Strict measures were also in place to prevent any security breaches or irregularities in the test registration and administration.
Dr. Celsa Cataluna, Education Program Supervisor from the DepEd Caraga Regional Office, closely monitored the entire administration of the A&E test to ensure its smooth and successful implementation.
This initiative aligns with DepEd Memo 063, s. 2024, which outlines the 2024 Accreditation and Equivalency Test Registration and Administration Guidelines.
The A&E Test's effective administration demonstrates the Butuan City Division's dedication to offering accessible educational opportunities, reinforcing the value of ALS in bridging educational gaps and empowering students to pursue better futures.
