The assembly, organized by the Philippine Association of Schools Superintendents (PASS) under the leadership of Butuan City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Minerva T. Albis, brought together education leaders from across the region to discuss innovative strategies and address pressing challenges in the education sector. Mayor Lagnada’s kindness added a touch of warmth to the professional discussions and camaraderie during the event.

DepEd Caraga Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Lagnada for his unwavering support and generosity. In her message during the opening ceremony, she recalled how Mayor Lagnada and the City Government of Butuan provided the DepEd regional office with a pick-up truck that has since been utilized to reach the Last Mile schools in the region.

“Mayor Lagnada’s benevolence reflects his deep commitment to education and his respect for the tireless efforts of our education leaders. On behalf of DepEd Caraga and all the participants, I extend our sincere thanks to the honorable mayor for his inspiring act of generosity,” Director Asuncion said.

Mayor Lagnada’s cash gifts were a testament to his recognition of the vital role education leaders play in shaping the future of learners. His support serves as an encouragement for educators and administrators to continue their mission of delivering quality education.

The Regional Assembly of Education Leaders concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among its participants, who left the event not only with valuable insights but also with the warmth of Mayor Lagnada’s thoughtful gesture.
