Mendoza, the chief of the regional Education Support Services Division (ESSD).

Participated in by school health personnel and guidance counselors, the training features a robust lineup of expert speakers and facilitators, including Jumer C. Carlon, MD, Medical Officer IV and the focal person for the program, who led discussions on the DepEd Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) Program, Laws and Policy Issuances, and the 7 Steps in Setting Up Peer Navigation. He also facilitated the planning for peer health navigation rollouts.

Other key resource persons include Rosanna Duran, RN, who covered topics such as technology use in health education, facilitating both onsite and online sessions, and setting up adolescent-friendly health facilities; Jennibeth H. Lapay, who addressed personal concerns of health service providers and psychosocial assessments; Rex Rojas, who discussed adolescent mental health and harnessing technology; and Ulysses Xenophon Virgil Anthony A. Sannoy, RN, who tackled legal bases and urgent concerns like teen pregnancy and cyberbullying.

According to Dr. Carlon, this training is more than just about learning. This program underscores the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing adolescent health issues, equipping participants with skills in facilitation, peer health navigation, and the development of support systems in their respective schools and communities.

By the end of the training, participants will finalize action plans to roll out peer health navigation programs and adolescent-friendly services in their areas, reinforcing the DepEd mission to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments for all students.

The training offered a well-structured learning experience designed to equip educators and school health personnel with the skills and knowledge to support adolescent holistic development and well-being.
