Hosting the event was the Bayugan City Division led by OIC-ASDS Dr. Corazon Roa, in coordination with the City Government of Bayugan City led by City Mayor Hon. Kirk Asis, who, together with the Technical Working Group of the Regional Office and the Division Office, took care of the material requirements of the venue and provided for other logistical needs of the meeting.
Hon. Asis not only gave his message of support to DepEd Caraga but also backed it up with concrete action as he turned over to the Schools Division Office and the recipient schools the ceremonial key that symbolizes the completion of the three classrooms with toilets at Noli Elementary School in Brgy. Noli, Bayugan City, and one classroom with toilets at Maytagasan Elementary School at Brgy. Maytagasan, Bayugan City.
The University of Southeastern Philippines President (USeP), Dr. Bonifacio Gaballes, broached the possible partnership between DepEd Caraga and USeP on various educational endeavors in the future as he met with the supervisors of the regional Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD) at a separate venue to discuss the matter.
During a short break, Director Asuncion led the members of the Management Committee and the other regional personnel in paying tribute to retiring regional Finance Division Chief Fe L. Alegado. Hon. Asis also took the opportunity to distribute some giveaways to the delight of the participants.
