BUTUAN CITY, January 16, 2025- On the second day of the Regional Assembly of Education Leaders, Atty. Anthonette V. Allones, former Executive Director of Career Executive Service Board (CESB) and current Chief Executive of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, delivered her lecture on "Education 5.0: Future Proofing Education Leaders," highlighting the need of developing learner's skills and adaptability to the 21st century context.
Speaking via an online platform, Atty. Allones stressed that these skills are necessary for learners to thrive in the rapidly changing world, and that education leaders must keep up with the emerging trends in leadership. "We need leaders who support others to thrive in order to survive." She encouraged the participants to become effective leaders capable of developing others leaders. "Be able to embrace technological distractions by acquiring digital skills," she added.
The activity is part of the three-day event which commenced yesterday, January 15, 2025, at the Almont Hotel Inland Resort, Butuan City.
The assembly is composed of 1250 DepEd officials, including Schools Division Superintendents, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, School Principals, School Heads, and other officials from the DepEd schools, divisions, and regional offices.
