PATIN-AY, AGUSAN DEL SUR, April 23, 2025—𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗼𝗮𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲, 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻-𝗮𝘆, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱, 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿.

The event brought together a broad spectrum of education and sports leaders, including Schools Division Superintendents, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, Regional Office Functional Division Chiefs, Division Sports Officers, Training Directors, Training Supervisors, and Coaches and Assistant Coaches from the region.

With passion and purpose, Josita B. Carmen, Schools Division Superintendent of Agusan del Sur, delivered a heartfelt welcome that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance. “People may not remember what you said or did, but they will always remember how you made them feel,” she shared—her words echoing a truth that transcends titles and roles. More than just a message, it was a powerful reminder that a coach’s most significant legacy lies in their instructions, the emotions they inspire, and the lives they help shape.

Representing DepEd Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, Minerva T. Albis, Schools Division Superintendent of Butuan City Division, followed with an equally compelling address. She emphasized the importance of intentional preparation, stating, “In this 25-day training period, we must focus on developing the physical attributes of our athletes.” Beyond physical strength, she stressed the need to instill discipline, resilience, and the core values of sportsmanship—traits that define champions on the field and role models in life. Her message served as a rallying call: to train not just for competition but to nurture athletes who embody excellence, integrity, and heart.

Rounding off the morning with a message of warmth and pride, the Provincial Governor of Agusan del Sur, Hon. Santiago B. Cane, Jr., extended a gracious welcome to all. “While you’re here in our training facilities, consider yourselves Agsurnons. Embrace the spirit, the hospitality, and the pride of Agusan del Sur as your own,” he said, encouraging participants to immerse themselves in the local culture and community spirit during their stay.

As the coaches and assistant coaches continue their training in Patin-ay, they do so with renewed purpose and inspiration. Armed with fresh knowledge, shared experiences, and a more profound sense of commitment, they are poised to shape not only competitive athletes but also champions of character and resilience—ready to represent the region with pride in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa 2025 and beyond.
