BUTUAN CITY, February 10, 2025—𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘄𝗲𝗶 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗚𝗕𝗙) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱) 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟰–𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

During the monitoring and evaluation phase, key representatives from GBF and DepEd visited multiple schools across the city to assess the program's implementation and impact. The schools included Lemon Elementary School, Salvacion Integrated School, Maibu Elementary School, Dulag Elementary School, Agusan Pequeno Elementary School, Consuelo Elementary School, and J.T. Domingo Elementary School.

The GBF team, led by Community Education Manager Karla E. Ngitngit, Community Program Officer Gino E. Cruz, and Program Officer Hazel Anne G. Sotoya, conducted thorough site inspections and discussed with school administrators, teachers, and students. They were joined by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Minerva T. Albis and Division Reading Coordinator for Elementary, Marylou M. Recososa, who provided essential insights and feedback regarding the program's progress.

Dr. Albis expressed her gratitude for the partnership, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in bridging learning gaps caused by past educational disruptions. "This initiative plays a crucial role in improving the literacy and numeracy skills of our young learners. We appreciate the commitment of GBF in supporting our schools and ensuring that our students receive quality education," she stated.

The Juan Kapatid Learning Recovery Program is designed to provide targeted interventions for students struggling with basic literacy and numeracy. It employs innovative teaching strategies and hands-on learning activities, ensuring that resources are effectively utilized to meet the program's objectives.

GBF representatives reiterated their commitment to supporting DepEd's mission to enhance education quality. "We are pleased with the progress we have seen so far. Through continuous collaboration and monitoring, we hope to further improve learning outcomes and empower both teachers and students," said Karla E. Ngitngit.

With positive feedback from stakeholders and continuous support for the initiative, the Juan Kapatid Learning Recovery Program is poised to substantially impact student learning and lay a strong foundation for future educational advancements in Butuan City.
