This year's Palarong Pambansa, the Caraga athletic delegation led by Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, is not merely content with participation. Their rigorous training under the seasoned coaches has one clear objective: CaraGold.
"Itโs a moment of great pride to see our athletes ready to compete at the highest level,โ said RD Ines, in an exclusive interview. โTheir perseverance and determination over the past months have prepared them to face this challenge head-on.โ
From Athletics to Swimming, Basketball to Gymnastics, Wrestling to Dance Sports, Wushu, Badminton, Boxing, and all other sports disciplines, Caragaโs finest athletes will showcase their skills and prove their mettle against the nationโs best.
Athlete Jane Cofuentes, a 17-year-old Wushu sensation from Bislig City, expressed her excitement and determination. โWeโve been training day in and day out, rain or shine. Our coach, Sir Moises, have pushed us to our limits and beyond. Weโre here to give our best and make Caraga proud,โ she said with conviction.
The Palarong Pambansa is set to have its opening ceremony on July 9, 2024, at Cebu City Sports Complex which will be attended by 19 delegations across the Philippines.
