The training covered essential topics, including assessment principles, standards alignment, and best practices in evaluating learner competencies to ensure effective implementation and adherence to established guidelines. By strengthening the capacity of assessors, the initiative seeks to uphold the integrity of the education system and ensure that assessments are conducted fairly and accurately.
Dr. Minerva T. Albis, Schools Division Superintendent, underscored the importance of a credible assessment process, emphasizing that it must adhere to the highest standards to ensure that promotions are granted only to the most deserving individuals. She highlighted that a fair and transparent process rewards merit and dedication and fosters trust, motivation, and excellence within the educational system.
Echoing this sentiment, Ms. Leonevee V. Silvosa, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, emphasized that credibility is the foundation of trust and integrity within the institution. They further stressed that maintaining credibility strengthens a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence in education, ultimately benefiting educators and learners.
The training marks a significant step in reinforcing professionalism and integrity in the education sector, ensuring that assessment processes align with national standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
