The event was participated in by regional and division chiefs, schools division superintendents, assistant schools division superintendents, education program supervisors, unit heads, planning officers, and other key personnel. In her Statement of Purpose, Dr. Dalin explained that the three-day event focused on fostering innovation and streamlining processes, particularly in strategic planning, crafting innovative tools and methodologies, monitoring, evaluation, and exploring classroom 4.0 AI in education. Through this program, said Dalin, DepEd Caraga '𝑠𝑒𝑒𝑘𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑧𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑐 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑑𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛 𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡 𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑔𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑖𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑐 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒-𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑦 𝑒𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒.' Resource speaker Maria Anthonette Velasco-Allones, the former Executive Director of the Career Executive Service Board (CESB), explained the principles of personality types and their role within the organization. She explained that each personality impacts how individuals approach problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making - the essential elements in innovation and strategic planning in the organizational setting. According to Allones, the diverse perspectives stemming from the different personality types make it possible to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and difficulties and the effectiveness in handling changes. On the second day, November 23, Dr. Alexander Arevalo, an ICT expert, discussed the principles of Completed Staff Work (CSW) by walking the participants through a deeper understanding of how to do things right within the office setting, using creative, visually engaging, entertaining, and high-impact PowerPoint presentations that amplified his powerful messages. According to Arevalo, CSW indicates efficiency - a cornerstone of successful management and leadership strategies across various industries. He said it is a philosophy that embodies thoroughness, responsibility, and empowerment as members of the organization. Moreover, Arevalo explained that CSW requires a meticulous process where a staff member, be it an executive, manager, or team member, presents a final decision or solution along with all the necessary information and supporting materials. It relieves higher-ups of the need to make additional inquiries or conduct further analysis before deciding. “𝐼𝑡’𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑚 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑎 𝑝𝑜𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛; 𝑖𝑡’𝑠 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑓𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑧𝑒𝑑 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑚 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛,” he said. He also stressed that an organization that does CSW well will become an organization of giants, but “𝑖𝑓 𝑖𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑒𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒, 𝑖𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑎 𝑑𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑓.” For Arevalo, Completed Staff Work epitomizes a proactive, accountable, and comprehensive approach to problem-solving within organizations. During the open forums, Director Asuncion gave her wise inputs, practical comments, and heartfelt affirmations as she guided the participants to appreciate and understand the current issues and concerns related to innovation and strategic planning. Dr. Lorenzo O. Macasocol, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent of Surigao del Norte, shared his realizations during the closing program. "𝑇𝑜 𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑛 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 - 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒, 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑙𝑦, 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛," he declared. He also thanked Director Asuncion, describing her as an "𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙" and "𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑜𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟" for her effective leadership throughout the seminar, which was a "𝑓𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑒𝑠, 𝑎 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑠𝑦𝑚𝑝ℎ𝑜𝑛𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑙𝑒𝑓𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑑.” He concluded, “𝑊𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑎 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑓𝑓 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘, 𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠." Other important highlights of the event were: 1.) Dr. Violeta C. Nunez’s presentation of the Regional Basic Education Plan 2023-2028 as aligned with the MATATAG Agenda; 2.) Kevin Hope Z. Salvaña’s presentation of the Farm School Garden to Table Business Model as piloted in two schools, namely Maglambing Integrated School in Surigao del Sur and San Vicente National High School in Agusan del Sur. 3.) Holy Mass on November 22 and 23. Dr. Ma. Ruth Edradan facilitated the program flow.
