BUTUAN CITY, February 18, 2025—𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 (𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗙) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗘𝗔𝗣-𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲.

The primary objective of this meeting was to develop a strategic framework that effectively bridges local interventions with national policies. This initiative aims to scale digital learning solutions in multigrade schools across the Philippines, addressing the unique challenges these educational settings face.

During the meeting, DepEd Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion, along with Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD) Chief Bernabe L. Linog, Quality Assurance Division (QAD) Chief Marlyne M. Villareal, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) Elena N. Caangpangan, and Jumer Carlon, M.D., discussed the critical role of multigrade education in the region. They emphasized the importance of tailored educational strategies that respond to the unique needs of students in multigrade settings.

UNICEF personnel Jukka Tulivuori, Juriel Dan Trinidad, and Susan Cristie Delovino-Belmonte shared and elaborated on successful strategies implemented in other regions to enhance multigrade education. They provided valuable insights into community involvement and technology integration into teaching practices, essential for fostering effective learning environments.
