DEPED CARAGA STREAMLINES RECRUITMENT, SELECTION, AND PLACEMENT PROCESSES

BUTUAN CITY – 03/23/2021To ensure efficient recruitment, selection, and placement (RSP) of DepEd personnel, the 

Office of the Assistant Regional Director, in coordination with the Regional Administrative Services Division (ASD), conducted the RSP Capability Building for Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB), March 16-18, 2021, at the Balanghai Hotel, Butuan City. The participants were the Assistant Schools Division Superintendents (ASDSs), Division HRMO personnel, and the Regional HRMPSB members.“When we hire or promote employees, we always look at what the applicant can do, what he can contribute, and what value he can provide for the organization,” said Regional Director Dr. Evelyn R. Fetalvero, CESO IV, in her message. “Our ISO and PRIME HRM accreditations are just some of the indicators that we are functioning very well as an organization,” she added, stressing that the application of said processes must adhere to established guidelines to ensure the integrity of the organizational structure.

OIC-Assistant Regional Director and HRMPSB Chairman Dr. Lorenzo O. Macasocol, CESO VI, in his Statement of Purpose, clarified the need to streamline the processes for Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection.

The resource speakers were the Schools Division Superintendents (SDS) of Surigao City and Cabadbaran City, namely Karen L. Galanida, CESO V, and Jeanie L. Mativo, respectively, and Assistant Schools Division Superintendents (ASDS) of Surigao City Florence E. Almaden, CESO VI. They explained the criteria, processes, and documentary requirements for teaching-related positions (Galanida), non-teaching positions (Almaden), and teaching positions (Mativo).

According to Mr. Joel B. Rosales, Chief Administrative Officer of the ASD, the three-day face-to-face seminar-workshop adhered to strict health protocols through the supervision of Dr. Jumer C. Carlon, Medical Officer IV.
