The three-day activity aimed to evaluate and further optimize the implementation of the IPED Program across the region through participatory assessment and collaborative planning with key stakeholders and partners. It also served as a venue for sharing experiences, addressing implementation challenges, and strengthening strategies to ensure culturally responsive and inclusive education for Indigenous Peoples (IP) learners.

Participants included division representatives, particularly the Division Partnership Coordinators and Assistant Division IPED Focal Persons, along with IP resource persons. They actively engaged in discussions and collaborative sessions, gaining firsthand insights into the IPED program implementation process across various divisions.

As part of the review, Division IPED Focal Persons delivered concise five-minute presentations highlighting their respective divisions’ accomplishments, identified issues and gaps, best practices and strategies, and actionable recommendations to further enhance IPED implementation.

Participants also led the showcasing of key IPED outputs, including updated IPED frameworks, developed Four Minima for IP languages, selected contextualized lesson plans, and samples of learning resources and learners’ outputs. These materials underscored the region’s sustained efforts to strengthen indigenous education initiatives.

The Regional IPED PIR and Collaborative Session reaffirmed DepEd Caraga’s commitment to advancing inclusive, culture-based education and strengthening collaboration among education stakeholders to improve learning outcomes for Indigenous Peoples learners across the region.
