SANHS CAMPERS GET "CONSTRUCTIVELY ENGROSSED TO LEARNING" ON THE FUN-FILLED FIRST DAY OF NLC 2023

Agustinian campers got hooked to this year's nationwide program set by the Department of Education to fill in the taxing gaps and losses that were caused by the so-referred "pandemical lag," more specifically, in subject areas classified as academically strenuous, such as English, Science, and Mathematics.

On this first day of carrying out the said initiative, 7th and 8th graders have shown their utmost cooperation, evincing their interest in supplemental learning amidst the nonbinding call of the department.

The teachers and students shall only meet for three consecutive days. In the morning run, learning sessions [per subject] are allowed 45 minutes for learning enhancement. In the afternoon, various activities and games that correlate with the subject areas are conducted at the barangay gymnasium so as to instigate the learners' interest. A feeding program is also held every afternoon after these activities, providing a comprehensive, beneficial package for learners' camping experience.

"We would like to make the learning camp as fun as possible," Mr. Rabino shared during the consultation meeting with the School Governing Council and School Parents-Teachers Association. "It should be conducted in a way that piques the interest of the learners without making them feel the apparent heaviness of these subjects," he added.

Mr. Rabino is teaching Science in the camp, working with Mr. Amiel Kit Toloy, Mrs. Vernessa P. Toloy, and teacher-import, Mr. Marc Anthony Pagoyo teaching English and Math subjects, respectively.

Moreover, the said initiative would not have been possible without assistance from SPTA, SGC, and the local barangay. With regard to these efforts, subsequent reviews have been consolidated, conclusively showing that the first day of the camp implementation has "set the learners to be constructively engrossed to learning this summertime."

Surely, with these joining hands that would decisively bring this initiative to a meaningful success, the aim to "provide learning remediation and refinement" can, someday, be achieved once and for all.
