The WinS (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools) Program aimed to promote better health and hygiene practices in schools. Aside from installing the dental chair, Lerio also inspected other facilities and checked the progress of the program in the school, assisted by PSDS Monaliza G. Tolang, School Dentist Dr. Ruby Mae Paculaba, and School WinS Coordinator Crisfel C. Pabroquez. "The WINS program is essential in ensuring that our students have access to clean water and sanitation facilities, which are crucial in maintaining their health and wellbeing," said Dr. Lerio. "We are committed to ensuring that the program is implemented effectively in all schools across the region, and we will continue to work towards this goal,” she added. Dr. Lerio also emphasized the importance of monitoring to ensure the program’s success. "Regular monitoring is crucial to identifying any gaps or challenges in the program and addressing them promptly," she emphasized. The WinS program is an initiative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) global initiative to improve schools' access to water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities. It is a joint effort of UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) in partnership with various governments, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders. Dr. Lerio's visit to the clinic hub is a significant step towards ensuring the success of the WinS program in the region.
