𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮.

This year’s regional meet embodies a compelling theme: “Strength in Unity, Power in Diversity.” It is a call to remember that while we wear different colors and represent different divisions, we are all part of one Caraga Region. Competition must not divide us—it must bind us closer, sharpening our skills while deepening our respect for one another.

𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲

Caraga, Region XIII, is a land shaped by contrasts and connections. Composed of five provinces: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur, and six cities: Bayugan, Butuan, Cabadbaran, Surigao, Tandag, and Bislig—it is home to vast rainforests, rich mineral resources, and a proud history of resilience. Our people speak different languages—Cebuano, Surigaonon, Manobo, and more—yet share the same fighting spirit. We honor different traditions, yet are bound by a shared pursuit of progress.

This same diversity is reflected in our Caraganon athletes. Some come from coastal towns where the sound of crashing waves is their daily rhythm. Others hail from the highlands, where the mountains have instilled endurance and grit. Some trained with the best facilities, while others honed their skills on makeshift courts and open fields. Yet when they step onto the track, into the ring, or onto the court, they all share the same fire—the same dream to bring pride to Caraga.

𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

It is easy to get lost in the division. Twelve schools divisions. Twelve different delegations. Twelve sets of rivalries. The scoreboard fuels a natural hunger for victory, but if we focus only on who beats whom, we lose sight of the bigger picture.

Because after April 4, the medals will be counted, but the real challenge begins: representing Caraga at the Palarong Pambansa 2025.

The Palaro is a national sports event; however, it is also a test of regional strength. Our athletes will no longer compete against one another but stand side by side against the best of the best from Luzon, Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao. If we enter as fragmented teams still clinging to division-level rivalries, we will fall short. But if we embrace our diversity as an advantage, unify under one banner, and uplift each other, Caraga will not only participate—we will dominate.

To our athletes: Wear your division colors with pride, but let your hearts beat for Caraga. Fight hard, but never let competition turn into conflict. Push yourself to victory, but never at the expense of respect and camaraderie.

To our coaches and sports officials: Build champions, but also build bridges. Teach discipline, but also teach sportsmanship. Strengthen your teams, but also prepare them to unite when the time comes to compete as one.

To our supporters: Cheer for your teams, but also celebrate every Caraga athlete. Let no one feel alone in their pursuit of greatness. Let every athlete, whether from Surigao, Agusan, or Dinagat, know that they carry the support of an entire region.

The essence of “Strength in Unity, Power in Diversity” is not only about winning the Caraga Regional Athletic Games. It is about proving that when we come together, no challenge is too great. When we unite—each schools division bringing its best, each athlete contributing their strength—we become a force far greater than the sum of our parts.

As the regional meet closes, let us remember how fiercely we have competed and never lose sight of the bigger goal. Because at the end of the day, we are not twelve competing teams—we are one Caraga. And a united Caraga can shake the Palarong Pambansa stage.
